In Ethiopian tradition there are four homilies on the Annunciation which usually appear together e. g. in , . They are labelled by Proverbio as Eth A, Eth B (the present record), Eth C (=CPG 4519) and Eth D. Eth A-C are attributed to John Chrysostom, Eth D is transmitted under the name of Jacob of Sarugh.
