Description
The Gize ṣalot is a version of the Maṣḥafa saʿātāt, a Church service made up of psalms, biblical readings and hymns. However, it is actually a genre of its own, a Gize ṣalot for the use of hermits (ባሕታዊያን፡) and recluses የዘጉ፡. 270 follow the Ethiopian distribution of the psalter.The three other types of Maṣḥafa saʿātāt identified by 266 are: : the Coptic Saʿātāt; : the Saʿātāt of Giyorgis of Saglā, which replaced the : and is presently in use in Ethiopia and Eritrea; : a Saʿātāt that includes the entire Psalter in the daily pensum;
