Description
The Colloquy is written in the form of a Responsa: Moses asks and God answers. The first part describes God’s rewards for those who behave well – read prayers, give alms, take care of orphans etc. – and punishment for those who commit evil. The second part, beginning with God lifting up Mount Sinai and showing Moses the whole world, is devoted to the discussion of the nature of God.N.M. was translated into Gǝʿǝz from an Arabic Vorlage. In the Ethiopic tradition, two versions exist; the Christian and the Beta ʾƎsrāʾel
