Description

The Maṣḥafa krǝstǝnnā is the service book for the administration of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation. It includes the preparatory rites and the threefold sercive of baptism, chrism and Eucharist. Its structure is the same as of the baptismal book of the Coptic Church. It is sometimes grouped in manuscripts with . The long version agrees with the short versions until the recitation of the Credo, then there are many added prayers. The Psalms 61 and 113, 20-end are absent. The ṣawātǝw prayers are more elaborated than in the short recension.
