Description
Traditional title for different collections of the Acts of non-Ethiopian martyrs and saints venerated by the Ethiopian Church. The texts found in the G. S. were chiefly translated from Arabic. The role in the translation is sometimes attributed to Salāma. Some collections however include also texts translated from Greek, probably in the Aksumite age.
